My First Blog Post
Every blogger must start somewhere and here is mine.
13 years on Facebook (quit that 2 years ago), one of the first 10 million people on LinkedIn (LinkedIn thanked me years ago, but somehow missed sending me a check for my loyal support), one of the original Audible subscribers, and 15 years on Twitter without tweeting. What is wrong with me!!! I just could not pick up blogging until now. I know, blogging is so 2000s. Yes, I remember back that far. My first websites were in the 90s, but they were always for other people and organizations and not my own. Time to change that.
Oh, I had good intentions. I started many times by setting up a website. I even purchased and abandoned many domain names over the decades. I just never took it beyond getting the website launched. I never started blogging, except for that one time 12 years ago for a few posts but I soon abandoned that. Blogging is hard.
It was time to stop being selfish. I get so much out of other bloggers who share what works and does not work for them. I am always searching to find out what others say on something. I figured it was time to contribute to the universe through a blog. And, to consolidate all my interests into one website. This is much easier to manage than a half dozen websites dedicated to each of my interests.
This blog will be musings about my hobbies and interests. Some will be detailed reviews on hikes, woodworking, and other interests. I’ll let Google do the rest and I’m sure I’ll get traffic based on the super-duper interesting content I will share. Feel free to subscribe, but it will be random stuff. You have been warned.
So, Howdy Visitor! Thank you for visiting.
